Methane can take us to a carbon-negative hydrogen economy

"Methane – CH₄, the main component of natural gas – might be the key to the success of the hydrogen economy", writes Matti Malkamäki, the CEO of Aurelia Turbines. "There are enormous challenges in hydrogen transportation and storage that can be solved by the methanation of renewable hydrogen using captured carbon dioxide. In the best case, we can create new carbon sinks and convert many industries to be carbon negative."
